EXPERIENCE INNOVATION RELIABILITY

Since 1967, Fonderia Povolaro has been operating with a single purpose: to create the best production conditions to guarantee the highest quality of its castings.
Our company has always put the utmost importance on company organization throughout its many years of experience, so as to guarantee the highest levels of production efficiency.

FURNACES AND CASTING

The rotary furnace we employ has a capacity of 6 tons and is equipped with methane and oxygen technology in full respect of the environment. In addition, a stationary electric furnace with a capacity of 8 tons is available to assist during the casting process.

MOLDING LINE

Our molding line is designed to produce 160 flasks per hour: this is made possible by molding two pieces of equipment simultaneously.

SANDBLASTING

Immediately after the “shakeout” phase, the components are sandblasted. This operation is done using a steel grit sandblaster. After this phase, the components are checked again before moving on to the deburring phase.

DEBURRING

In the deburring phase, burrs that form between molds and cores are removed from the component, resulting in any remaining casting residues being eliminated so that it can be painted and/or machined during the subsequent phases.

LABORATORY ANALYSES

Internal laboratory tests are conducted to analyze the chemistry of the alloy, to determine its hardness, and to test its tensile strength. Our long-standing collaboration with external laboratories allows us to perform other non-destructive tests (such as X-rays and micrographs), as requested.
