TO MEET YOUR NEEDS

As part of our production and supply process, we have organized and structured a series of additional services to complement our cast iron component casting.

CO-ENGINEERING

This is the most important activity for the realization of components. A preliminary “co-engineering” effort allows us to evaluate both product and production information at the same time, examining all the technical parameters, assessing potential limits, and proposing any enhancements. As a result of this phase, we are able to prepare an efficient strategy capable of optimizing the costs and timeliness of production to achieve the best quality/price ratio for your project.

REVERSE ENGINEERING

We can create a 3D file from a sample using the “reverse engineering” process, which uses non-contact laser scanning.

PROTOTYPING

A prototype is used to test the performance and utility of a component before it is industrialized. Prototyping is the stage between the design of a detail and the manufacture of that detail. So we can make prototypes with different technologies and solutions. Specifically:

Rapid prototyping, made in the required cast iron alloy and by using disposable box castings;
3D printed components;
Prototyping using DMLS technology that uses lasers and powders of the required metal.

PRODUCTION OF TOOLS AND MODELS

Proper design and construction of the casting equipment are essential for the making of a cast iron casting. Over time, we have selected the best model makers to whom we entrust the production of models and core boxes in different materials, including aluminum, cast iron, resin and wood.

CORE CASTING

For iron castings, the technical choice between different types of cores determines the success and quality of a component. This is why we have chosen the best core shops that use cold box and shell molding technologies to manufacture our cores.

MECHANICAL MACHINING

More and more customers ask that components be machined in addition to sandblasted and deburred. For this reason we have selected over time some workshops specialized in different types of processing and for different production lots. We perform turning, drilling, threading, milling, tapping, and balancing.

CATAPHORESIS

Whenever a component needs to be protected against rust and corrosion, cataphoresis is the best option, which can be carried out either before or after mechanical processing.

PAINTING

Painting of a component may involve an initial water-based or nitro-based anti-rust primer applied by immersion immediately after the deburring phase. The final coating of the component is applied before or after mechanical processing, using equipment that uses epoxy powders.
